The check engine light comes on, DON’T PANIC! I know that I have written about car diagnostic tools before but this is the cream of the crop. The reason is because not only does the CarMD connect to your car’s on board computer port and give you a diagnostic read out, but you can then connect it to your home computer by way of the included USB adapter.
Once connected to your home computer, you will then go to the CarMD website to de-code the read out data on the screen of the CarMD. If there is more then one diagnostic trouble code, the scroll button on the unit lets you view them quickly and easily.
Another great feature of the CarMD is three color LED light read out. The green, yellow and red lights give you a quick means of knowing if you car’s engine systems are running normally. Green means everything is working fine, yellow means you need to check things out, and red means there is a problem.
This tool is especially helpful if you are planning a road trip and want to make sure before you go that there won’t be trouble down the road.
